Ethanol is a colorless liquid
at room temperature. When a low concentration of ethanol solution is present it tastes sweet. A high concentration of ethanol
solution has a burning taste (hard liquor). The chemical make up of Ethanol is CH3CH2OH
or sometimes expressed as C2H6O. Ethanol is an alcohol: a group of compounds that contain a hydroxyl
group. Ethanol melts at –114.3 degrees Celsius and boils at 78.4 degrees Celsius. Ethanol has a molar mass of 46.07g/mol
and a density of .789g/mL at liquid state.
